We had about a dozen people at the Farmer household on Thanksgiving Day. In addition to our beloved son, Timothy, we had Aunt Alma, Aunt Tressie, Elder Rodgers, cousin Paul and assorted others. We ordered a smoked turkey from a caterer and all of us bought, brought or prepared side dishes. The food is still here and tastes just as good, if not better, the Tuesday after the big dinner.

As we ate, we were mindful of those here in Dallas, and around the world, who do not have reliable sources of food. We have so many choices when we eat!!

May we always eat our food, whether just prepared or leftovers, with a pronounced, profound sense of gratitude.
